Road Trippin: Summer 2012

We're havin' an ol' fashioned road trip summer vacation this year! We decided to drive from the deserts of Arizona up to the lush Northwest for some cool weather. The kids handled the 20 hours of drive time so well that we're thinking we'll do this every year!

In between sleeping, driving and a couple movies, we played some road trip scavenger hunts, radio roulette, make-up-your-own-story-time, and are working our way through Robert Louis Stevenson's "Treasure Island" on CD. It is AWESOME. Oh, and our vehicle is a Crown Victoria (so classy).

The first stop for the trip was the Salem/Keizer/Dallas area for some visiting with Nana and Papa. We made sure to soak up the clean, fresh air in as many parks as we possibly could. We were also fourtunate to visit with the Harris family. The kids had a blast together!
