We Are GP!

That's what we've been cheering a lot lately :) High school football games have been a blast, as well as a family affair. Uncle Kyle coaching, Daddy directing and calling the play-by-play, Mommy singing the National Anthem, and the boys cheering on the team. Gotta love it!

We've graduated from tball and are now enjoying all the benefits of coach pitch baseball! It's a lot more enjoyable, to be honest. The boys are loving it. And, we're loving watching them!

Back To School

We're back in the swing of things here in the Rickey Family! School is in session and everyone is doing great! Josh started Kindergarten with the best teacher of all -- Jacob's Kinder teacher! Jacob started 2nd grade and has a wonderful teacher as well.

After homework, chores, and packing school lunches, we're adding coach pitch baseball, glee club, and chess club to the mix next week. Busy, busy, but oh so fun!

Part 4: Newberg. The Finale.

It was simply wonderful to end our trip in our "hometown" of Newberg. A special thanks to John and Erin for hosting a fantastic BBQ so that we could mingle with our college buds and their amazing families! It felt like old times being able to chat and catch up with lifelong friends. We also really enjoyed family time with Christy, Brian and Daniel in their "new" hometown, and with the Rickey grandparents, cousins, aunts and uncles in their "old" hometown. We are truly blessed every time we come to Newberg!

We were treated to the Oregon Zoo with cousin Daniel - what fun those boys had!!

 We took the zoo train over to Washington Park to visit the rose gardens and the playground

We even squeezed in a trip to Beaverton to visit John at the Nike Campus. All we could say was, "thanks!" and "wow!!"

We're now on the journey back home, packed with a trunk full of Nike gear. But, more importantly, we've created many beautiful memories to last us a lifetime. The road trip of 2012 was a major success! Let's do this again soon...
