Some Random Updates

There's been a lot going on in our family. Nothing themed together that could necessarily be put into a cute blog title or story, so here's a list of some random updates regarding everyone!

  • We're all recovering or in the middle of colds/congestion. Let's just say we're going through a lot of tissues and q-tips right now -- enough said.
  • Angela finally moved the tub of maternity clothes from the bedroom closet into the garage. One step closer to calling it good with two.
  • Speaking of two, Jacob is on week number TWO of no pull-ups at night -- WOO HOO! We haven't (knock wood) had an accident yet...
  • Josh is finally learning the context of the word "no" which has been interesting. Things like, "Josh, do you want to eat some green beans?" (then, shaking his head with his response) "No!"
  • Jacob has learned the word "certainly," but is NOT using it in the right context. See the example below.
  • Jacob is also learning about Black History Month in his class. Or, as he would put it: they are learning about black skin. Not very PC, but it's cute. He said, "Certainly, my black teacher and I have different hair..." But, as we also talk about, it's ok that we are all different!
  • Jon is starting baseball season and nothing could be better! Coach Rickey has had a good turnout for the boys team this season and practices started this week.
  • Angela is helping plan an event in L.A. where Nancy Reagan, John McCain, Gary Sinise and Kevin Sorbo are attending. Should be interesting!
  • Everyone has been eating healthier, to include Jacob's new fetish of carrots with peanut butter. Yum!

Here's some random photos to follow the random updates (in no particular order or context):

Mommy riding in this "unsafe-looked-like-it-would-collapse-any-moment" train with the boys since they desperately wanted to ride in it (thanks to Daddy for laughing at Mommy while she rode around with the kids)

And, here is a random video of the boys how we found them last night -- reading books together in Jacob's room:
